LFW DIARY: Roland Mouret & M.A.C Cosmetics

London Fashion Week is such a memorable occasion, it's super fast paced with so much creativity around and this season's was no exception. For me Fashion Week is an amazing chance to see upcoming trends and some beautiful pieces from such talented designers which is always super exciting. This season I was invited to watch the Roland Mouret show and I was also lucky enough to be invited backstage to get the makeup look before the show. Roland Mouret collaborated with M.A.C Cosmetics and created the most gorgeous feminine look, the inspiration for the makeup was 'what a girl would wear on a date-night'. This concept is so up my street and I was so excited to have it done as I honestly love the date-night look. For me, this look is epitomised by a smoky eye, so I had a combination of Embark on my eyes with Mythology and Brown Script. Never without a shimmering of highlight, we opted for the Extra Dimension Skin Finish Highlighter in Beaming Blush and dusted some flirty blush in the shade Peaches on my cheeks. The star of the look for me was the new Retro Matte Lipstick in Burnt Spice. I'm always trying new matte lip products and this once certainly didn't disappoint and I love how unique the colour is.

I made an Instagram video from the day at the Roland Mouret show with footage from going backstage with M.A.C Cosmetics. I'm SO happy with how the video came out with lots of small clips and snapshots from the day. Click on the image below to take a look at it as it shows just how buzzy and glamorous the day was!

I put this look together starting with the most beautiful trousers from Roland Mouret which of course I had to wear. These are so unique as they're a navy, smart trouser from the back and the most luxurious, deep red velvet from the front. Because of the flared bottom I added my simple black Louboutin Pigalles to give me some height and lift the trousers. To tie in with the navy tailoring of the trousers I paired this show stopping Balmain jacket. I love everything about this jacket: its cut, the cropped sleeves and of course the most incredible gold detailing. Somewhere in between nautical and military this jacket is such a statement piece and just because it was Fashion Week, I tied in even more gold with this clutch from Gucci. I played around a bit with which top to wear underneath the jacket, but decided that nothing should take away from the incredible details so I wore a simple off shoulder white top from Topshop underneath.
