Lately the Chloé Nile bag has been catching my eye again and again and I couldn’t seem to take my mind off it! My usual procedure when buying a handbag is to never impulse purchase but wait and see if my obsession grows or wears off. With this one it grew ever since it came out onto the market with the Spring 2017 collection, when it first caught my eye because of its round bracelet handle, which is a trend that’s really big right now (I keep seeing it on different bags, like this Kara tote or this one from Marni). Even though it’s quite a unique feature, I love how wearable it is. You can style this bag so many different ways! It’s super easy to dress it up or down, and I find that it works with more than 90% of the outfits in my fall wardrobe, so if there’s one new handbag you’re looking to buy this season, hopefully this can point you in the right direction, as I show you three different ways to wear it.
Farfetch’s Chloé section is huge and they always have such a big variety of styles and designers! They have all the brands I love housed under one place which is rare – from Olympia Le-Tan bags and Dolce & Gabbana dresses to Mansur Gavriel coats – and they even have the Balenciaga Knife Boots in stock right now which are sold out everywhere!
LOOK #1: CHUNKY KNIT & JEANS
For a dressed-up casual look, I paired the Nile bag with some jeans, this gorgeous colourful but subtle chunky knit (which makes me really excited for the sweater weather), and a pair of pointy heels. This is the type of outfit I always go back to when I want to feel and look cozy but put-together at the same time. It’s the ultimate day-to-night outfit that works no matter your day or evening plans.
LOOK #2: JUMPER DRESS & OVER-THE-KNEE BOOTS
Jumper dresses are my favourite piece to throw on when I’m in a hurry and need to come up with an outfit in less than three minutes. This is my current favourite jumper dress that I’ve paired with the Nile bag and this pair of over-the-knee boots – another autumn staple of mine. It’s such a quick, easy combo yet still looks like you’ve put some thought and effort into your outfit.
LOOK #3: A MORE FORMAL OUTFIT
Lastly, I went with more of a dressy kind of look. I styled the Nile bag with a girly Zimmermann dress and some chunkier black ankle boots to edge-up the frills, and I’ve also taken the strap off the bag for a more formal approach. It doesn’t make it any less convenient to carry it around, as the round handle is big enough to wear it over your arm, so you can easily just throw it on and go about your day instead of worrying about having to hold it in your hand all the time.
