What I Wore on New Year’s Eve

New Year’s Eve seems like a century ago now that I’m in full-on working mode again and everything’s getting back into the swing of things, but I have yet to show you the outfit I wore on the last day of the old year. The moment I saw this maxi dress I knew I had to get it for this special occasion and I’ve been impatiently waiting to finally give a twirl ever since. Even though I bought it towards the end of the year, it’s hands down one of my favourite dresses I’ve purchased in all of 2017. For Love & Lemons dresses in general always end up amongst my most-loved – I’ve worn them for years and am a huge fan of the brand – so I’m excited to have added another beautiful piece to my collection. I’m head over heels in love with the stunning 3D flower embroidery and the Dior inspired corset-like top with a velvet ribbon detailing at the waist – so flattering! If you’re based in the UK, you can find it here on Spotted On Celeb (which is great because you don’t have to pay import tax like when you order from overseas), and here if you’re from the US.

Shop the Look

I decided to keep the shoes in the same colour scheme as the dress, so I went with my favourite oxblood Ted Baker courts with a velvety finish and a floral brooch embellishment in the front, and then to add some contrast to the outfit, I chucked over my cozy cream cardigan with heart-shaped bobbles. By the way, it’s currently on sale here and they have multiple colours to choose from! Last but certainly not least is my beloved Olympia Le-Tan book clutch. Both this grey Casino Royal one and the pink bunny version you can spot in my previous post are two of my best luxury purchases of 2017. Not only are they a lot more wearable than you might think, but they’re also great conversation starters – just what you need at a party.
