We are well into the autumn season now and I have been admiring the streets (or should I say trees) of London that are bursting with colours! In this recent time when the weather is constantly changing, the midi skirt has been a closet staple of mine!
Something I never thought I would be into is the midi skirt. You know me and my wardrobe for this time of year – it’s usually mini all the way and if it’s not… it’s a jumper dress! I’ve recently dabbled in a few and I’m loving how versatile they are for any weather condition that London seems to throw at me.
I don’t tend to follow ‘it’ pieces but seeing one too many on my instagram feed and I was on shopbop browsing through…I landed on the silk skirt. The most sexy option that seemed the most flattering and the least practical to wear (hello VPL and constant creases) but that didn’t stop me.

One of my current favourites is this Anine Bing 90’s inspired leopard print silk skirt. The deep toned burgundy/red is the ideal colour for the season and the leopard print adds some detail and edge to this soft skirt. Paired with my super cosy hand knit jumper from Ganni and my trusty Manolo Blanhik mules that are now practically my uniform! to accessorise my outfit I chose my black croc mini trunk from Aspinal for its complimentary animal theme and contrasting structure.
It’s safe to say they have proved to be the answer to “What do I wear when the weather is all over the place but I still need to look good?”
This style is extremely easy to wear, maintains a feminine style while keeping me cosy!
