I’ve been following the CHANEL Les Beiges range since it originally launched, they brought out a gorgeous limited edition range last year and I’m a huge fan of the Les Beige Healthy Glow Sheer Powder so when the Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation came into play it was minutes before I was slapping it on my face in excitement.
The first thing I was dying to know is does it really give my lacklustre, dull and dehydrated skin a glow while avoiding making myself look sweaty. The answer is yes, it does impart a gorgeously luminous look to the skin, without a sticky feeling that some glowy foundations can do (cough cough Chantecaille Just Skin). It’s not as easy to blend as something like Vitalumiere Aqua, which I find just glides onto my skin, so I do find myself having to run my fingers over my face after application to make sure everything looks smooth. The coverage is light to medium and one pump is pretty generous so will cover my whole face. Saying that, it is pretty buildable so if you’re after something a bit fuller you can certainly get another pump or so going and apply a little more.
For application I’ve been using a trusty buffing brush and working in the foundation whilst following with my fingers to ensure everything is properly blended. The finish definitely outweighs the longevity as being a glow foundation it doesn’t last hours and hours on my skin. I would say around 6 hours before it starts to look oily around my t-zone, which isn’t a problem for me as I just reach for a bit of powder but oily skin girls may find this to last a little less long. There’s 9 shades in the range (I’m currently B30 without a tan). I think this comes in as one of my favourite CHANEL bases, knocking Vitalumiere Aqua off the top spot!
