They say the kitchen is the heart of the home. This certainly rings true for me. It’s where I enjoy my morning cup of tea, prepare meals for my friends and family and experiment with new recipes. So it should come as no surprise that it is also the first (and most exciting!) area I wanted to renovate when I bought my new home.
You’ll be happy to know that things are coming along on the renovation front, albeit a bit slower than expected but the kitchen has been the fastest and easiest process so far! I have invested in a few new kitchen essentials that have made me super excited to cook and work on my culinary skills! They’re also amazing time savers and add some variety into my daily meals.
As you know, very.co.uk has become one of my go-to places for online shopping recently. They have such a diverse range of products, carrying everything from my favourite denim to appliances and wellness supplements.
I was in desperate need of a new blender and I opted for the BLF01 Smeg Blender. After all, a blender is a kitchen staple (which I now can’t believe I’ve gone so long without!). And for good reason – few gadgets are quite as versatile. I love that I can make a tasty smoothie, blend a wholesome soup or even whip up a batch of margaritas (it’s all about balance!) in this machine without too much faff. It has a 1.5 litre capacity which means you’re not blending for one and the anti slip feet make sure it’s sturdily staying on my kitchen counter.

My Fave Smoothie Recipe:
(Serves 2)
1 Ripe Banana
125g Blueberries
300ml Almond Milk
Ice
Optional:
1 Tbsp Flax Seeds
1 Tbsp Chia Seeds
Another item that I spotted on the Very website that I can’t live without is my Tefal air fryer. I jumped on the air fryer bandwagon almost eighteen months ago and I have not looked back since. I can be pressed for time most days and it makes preparing nourishing meals an absolute breeze. I especially love to cook mixed veggies in my air fryer, it gives a similar result to roasting but leaves them slightly crispier on the outside (and there’s a whole lot less to clean up!)
